How to Link ACT databases to MS Outlook

Please follow these steps to add an ACT Database to MS Outlook:-

  • Close Outlook
  • Open ACT and the Database you wish to link
  • Select Act Tools menu, Preferences
  • Select E-mail Tab
  • Click E-mail system Set up
  • Next
  • Tick MS Outlook box, Next
  • Select Radio button to ‘Use MS Outlook e-mail program’
  • Click button ‘Setup ACT Address Book’
  • Click the Add button, then OK
  • Select OK at the next popup screen
  • All address books linked will be displayed, Click Close button
  • Next
  • Finish
  • Ok
  • Open Outlook

You can check the database is linked, by going to the Tools menu in Outlook, select Options. Select the ACT Tab, and click on History Options. The filename of the mapped database will be displayed.
